Osteopathy in a nutshell

Osteopathy is a drug-free, non-invasive, alternative therapy designed to improve range of motion, relieve joint pain, address digestive problems and improve the overall health of all body systems. This approach focuses on the joints, muscles and internal organs to promote overall wellness. It includes manual "hands-on" techniques. These techniques include stretching and resistance, craniosacral therapy, abdominal therapy and fascia therapy.

Complementary with physiotherapy?

At Magnus, there is close cooperation between physiotherapists and osteopaths to offer the right care at the right time. Magnus only works with professionals who have a multidisciplinary view of pathologies, rehabilitation and teamwork.
Specifically, this means that we only treat patients in the following situations:

  • if there is a clear indication that we can make sense of a treatment plan and
  • if there is a clear measurable or experienced progression in the patient.

Patients where progression is not progressing as expected or the indication is not sufficiently clear are always discussed in team and referred further.

Osteopathy at Magnus

Through close collaboration in our practices, we focus on how osteopathy and physiotherapy can support each other. Our team of osteopaths always has prior training in physiotherapy and already several years of experience with internal functioning at Magnus. As a result, we basically do not offer osteopathy if physiotherapy is better placed for your symptoms.
